Namdev Jayanti celebrated in Hume Pipe

Jamshedpur, Nov. 13: People from Tank Kshatriya Sikh community of Jamshedpur on Sunday celebrated 746th birth anniversary of Shiromani Sant Namdev.

A dardar was set up by the Hume Pipe Gurudwara committee were Bhai Angrej Singh and Hajuri Ragi presented the rendition of Sant Namdev.

Also present at the religious programme were Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) President Inderjeet Singh, CM representative Pavan Agarwal, Sukhvinder Singh, Baba Ajit Singh and others.

On the occasion ‘Siropa’, (a piece of saffron cloth offered to dignitaries at a Sikh religious place or function), was awarded to Amrik Singh, Jasbir Kaur, Sukhvinder Kaur, Jaswant Singh Bhobha, Harjeet Singh, Ravinder SIngh Bhatia, Shyam Singh and Niranjan Singh. At the religious programme more than 2000 devotees were present.
