Nagar Kirtan in Chandrakona marks Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 556th Prakash Parv

Jamshedpur: A grand Nagar Kirtan was organised at Nanaksar Gurdwara Sahib in Chandrakona Town to mark the 556th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Devotees from across Bengal, as well as from Jharkhand and Odisha, participated in the procession with great devotion and enthusiasm.
A large group from Jamshedpur also joined the event, including social worker Chanchal Bhatia, Aaghaz organisation’s founding president Inderjit Singh, JMM youth leader Simran Bhatia, Sikh Nojawan Sabha Baridih president Jagjit Singh Jaggi, Malwinder Singh from Sant Kutia Nojawan Sabha, Sikh Nojawan Sabha Sarjamda president Jagpreet Singh JD, along with Ranveer Singh, Abhay Kumar and others.
The Nagar Kirtan commenced at 2 pm and moved through various parts of the town before returning to the Gurdwara Sahib at around 6 pm. The Gurdwara committee honoured all participants with ‘Siropa’ as a mark of respect.
After the procession, a spectacular fireworks display was held, followed by the serving of Guru ka Langar. Later in the night, a Rainsabai Kirtan Darbar was organised inside the Gurdwara Sahib. Granthi Giani Satnam Singh of Nanaksar Gurdwara Chandrakona shared spiritual insights and narrated the history of the Gurus to the visiting sangat.
