Seraikela : The progress work of the Swarnarekha Multipurpose Irrigation Project was inspected by Jharkhand Regional Office NABARD Chief General Manager AK Padhi on Tuesday. Chief General Manager NABARD Padhi visited the work place of other projects including Gajia Barrage, Echa Dam, Kharkai Right Man Canal, Echa Dam Right Man Canal, Echa Dam Left Man Canal to see the progress and quality of works.
He was accompanied by Deputy General Manager NABARD SR Panda, District Development Manager NABARD East Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan Siddharth Shankar, Additional Water Resources Department Chief Engineer PN Singh, along with other senior engineers of the Department of Water Resources. NABARD has so far issued a loan of Rs 518.10 crore to the Jharkhand State Government under this fund. AK Padhi expressed happiness over the commencement of the work of Icha Dam pending for years, stating that the 2022 period has been fixed for completion of the Swarna Rekha project and directed that all components of the plan be completed in a time-bound manner.
