Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran Visits TWU

Jamshedpur: Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran visited the Tata Workers’ Union office at 10:00 AM as part of Founders’ Day events on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Accompanying the Chairman was a high-profile delegation from Tata Steel, including T. V. Narendran, CEO and Managing Director; Koushik Chatterjee, Executive Director and CFO; Atrayee Sanyal, CPO; Zubin Palia, CHRO India Manufacturing; and Rahul Dubey, Chief IR, Legal, and Contract Workforce Management.

The delegation was welcomed by Union Co-President Shailesh Kumar Singh, General Secretary Satish Kumar Singh, and other top officials. Chandrasekaran, Narendran, and Koushik Chatterjee were presented with bouquets by the welcoming committee members. All the guests then paid floral tribute to the statue of late former TWU president, VG Gopal, located at the Union premises.

Despite limited time due to his busy schedule, Chandrasekaran took the opportunity to address the gathering. He expressed his views, stating that the Tata Workers’ Union and Tata Steel management are working exceptionally well together. He praised the entire Union and Management team for this productive partnership and appealed for the maintenance of this cooperation.

The event was also attended by key Tata Workers’ Union members, including Vice Presidents Shahnawaz Alam, Sanjay Kumar Singh, and Rajiv Kumar Choudhary; Assistant Secretaries Nitesh Raj, Ajay Kumar Choudhary, and Shyam Babu; and Treasurer Amod Kumar Dubey.
