Jamshedpur, July 25 : Police are yet to crack mystery over an alleged case of loot from a 35-year-old woman, who was looted of cash and jewleries beside her car at Dobo under Kapali thana out-post (TOP) at Chandil last night.
A resident of Sonari, the victim Nisha Koda had allegedly been abducted from her house last night by allegedly by Tazdar Alam, who is a BJP activist and resident of Mango.
In this connection, the police have registered a case of extortion and assault against Alam and four unidentified persons on the FIR lodged by Nisha with the Sonari thana today.
Superintendent of police (City) Subhash Chandra Jat said that they are investigating the incident. The victim in her FIR has stated that she knew Alam who used to visit her house in Sonari frequently.
“During probe we came to know that Alam had taken Nisha to Kapali to show her a plot of land which she was interested to buy. She had also taken along Rs 5 lakh with her for the land. But on their way to Kapali in her car which was being driven by Alam, four-five masked men stopped the car and got inside. They took away the cash (Rs 5 lakh), jewelries worth over Rs 2 lakh and the car,” said the city SP.
The City SP said they are trying to nab Alam, but he seemed to have absconded.
“We
are trying to arrest Alam.Once Alam is caught, we will be able to know exactly
what meted out to the woman,” said the senior police officer.
The police recovered the car from Mango around midnight after getting a
complaint from the victim.
Meanwhile, Kapali TOP’s OC, Satyadeo Singh confirmed that the residents of Dobo village in Kapali had informed them about a woman at about 8.30.
According to police, those looted the women had claimed themselves to be naxals. The criminals had also assaulted the woman, causing injuries in her face, hands and also in the nails of the right hand.
The police are confused on the statement made by the victim and this is the reason that they are trying to arrest the accused Alam for solving the case conclusively.
