MYM Surabhi unit wins 15 state awards

Jamshedpur, April 20: Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City branch’s women’s wing, Surabhi once again stamped its emphatic presence in the social arena winning 15 state awards for the periods 2019-’20 and 2020-’21. Surabhi accounted for nine awards for the session 2019-’20 and six for 2020-’21. Parul Chetani was declared the Best President in the state category for the session 2019-’20. The programme was organized online vide Zoom App. Thirty members of the Surabhi branch participated in the online programme. The state’s 19th executive conclave was conducted in the process. The information was provided by Surabhi unit president for the periods 2020-’21 and 2021-’22, Manisha Sanghi.

Manisha stated that MYM Steel City branch’s Surabhi unit led by president Parul Chetani bagged top honours in categories of the state’s best women’s branch, best women’s awareness drives, development of women’s participation in business and industry, maximum blood donation drives and collection, best in national programme of ‘save the female fetus,’ artificial limb implant, best workshop on national programmes, best youth development programme, organizing state executive meet and conducting camps on cancer awareness.

Similarly, the work done during the COVID infection period under the stewardship of Manisha Sanghi as president of Surabhi during the session 2020-’21 saw the women’s wing winning awards for best women’s branch, best in promoting women entrepreneurs, government programme on saving girl fetus, relief work during COVID period, mass marriage programmes for couples from underprivileged communities and provision of cold drinking water facilities (Amrit Dhara) at several places.

Surabhi branch secretary Kavita Agrawal and other members felicitated Parul Chetani and Manisha Sanghi for their leadership abilities which infused team spirit among the members that led to the unit’s bagging so many important state recognitions.
