Jamshedpur: Socio-cultural organization, Sandhya Sammelani of Kadma organized Bijoya Sammelani replete with popular Bengali and Hindi songs of yesteryears rendered melodiously by Soma Bhowmick, Saraswati, Purabi, Swapna, Anita, Kavita, Kakoli Ghosh, Udayan Bose, Haroprasad Sarkar, Aparna Chando and Moushumi Nandy. They were accompanied on the tabla by Pratap Banerjee.
A play reading session by club members and dance recital by Shreya Roy enlivened the cultural proceedings. Earlier, the Bijoya Sammelani was inaugurated jointly by the club�s president Dilip Das and general secretary Asish Roy by lighting the traditional lamp. Members present on the occasion included Sandip Chatterjee, Raja, Debasish Mukherjee, Shyama Sen, Somnath Pal, Satyajit Chakraborty, Arun and others.
