Talking about the changing face of music industry, Jubin said: Music today has become like a fashion. With passage of time it keeps changing. The genre of music may change but riyaaz ( practice) will always be the same. Singer may come and go but an artist has to keep practicing to succeed. Carving a name for me is not a struggle it is the love for music that helps me grow.

Hailing from the beautiful valley of Dehradun, Jubin said he had a very humble background and cities like his hometown or say Jamshedpur has immense talent the need to promote them. I think my hometown has inspired me to grow. We have writers like Ruskin Bond who also have been an inspiration for us to fulfill our dreams, he noted.

Humma Humma singer Jubin feels the internet has also made the music industry fast. Everything is being delivered at high pace and so is music. It’s really a competitive world and like actors, even singers go through ups and downs in their career. What we see and usually believe in, is that – they come, they struggle, they conquer the industry and then, vanish in no time. But I feel that we should never forget our downs if we want to be a winner.

His love for music at the age of four is what made him pursue his dream of becoming a singer. He not only built a base in classical music right from his school days but also learnt to play instruments like guitar, piano, harmonium and drums. He participated in a television music reality show called X Factor in 2011 and also managed to be among top 25 contestants.
