Music directors Sachin-Jigar to perform live at XLRI’s Ensemble-Valhalla

Biswa Kalyan Rath to give a comical touch to B-school annual fest

Jamshedpur, Nov. 6: Ensemble-Valhalla, the flagship annual festival at XLRI Jamshedpur, will witness performances of Bollywood music composers Sachin-Jigar and stand-up comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath for its professional show nights during the fest.

The fest will be held from November 16 to 19.

Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, the music duo from Mumbai, are set to perform live on November 19. Bursting on to the scene in their first film as an independent composing duo for F.A.L.T.U (2011), their songs immediately became the party anthems of the year. Over the next half a decade, they have composed for a variety of genres in various different movies and are responsible for hits such as the hugely popular ‘Saibo’ from Shor in the City, ‘Bezubaan’ from ABCD, ‘Dance Basanti’ from Ungli, ‘Jeena Jeena’ from Badlapur and many more.

While Biswa has taken over the internet time and again with shows like Pretentious Movie Reviews, In Your Face and of late, Laakhon Mein Ek. Hailing from Odisha, the IIT Kharagpur grad has released a full length comedy special on Amazon Prime called ‘Biswa Mast Aadmi’ which has earned him rave reviews. His relatable jokes coupled with his unique perspective on day-to-day happenings is sure to produce an evening full of eye-watering laughter.

Ensemble, the largest management fest in the country, and Valhalla, the extravagant celebration of sports and culture at XLRI are coming together from the current academic year.

The fest is expected to attract participation from b-schools and undergraduates from across the nation.

Ensemble-Valhalla, the annual fest of XLRI would essentially combine the management, sports and cultural aspects of a professional’s life.

XLRI’s Ensemble and Valhalla has witnessed participations from top B-schools across the country and performances by renowned artists like Lucky Ali, Nikhil D’Souza, The Local train, Sorabh Pant, and Zakir Khan.

The combined fest is expected to be a grand celebration of spirit and character encompassing the values of excellence and integrity of India’s oldest business management school.

Ojas Entertainment, Comedy Central, MTV Beats and Colour have directly contributed to the pro-shows through contacts and promotion whereas Tata Steel, Levi’s, Talwalkars, Raymonds, JUSCO and Winkies have also been instrumental in conducting the fest. From Future Leaders Program, MUN and debates for school children and undergraduate students to comedy and Bollywood nights, the fest is presenting a ‘Melange of Ideas’ for engaging one and all.
