Jamshedpur: Police raided a closed company quarter located near Rajendra Vidyalaya and arrested three criminals who were planning a murder.
The arrested youth include Jitesh Kumar, resident of Raghuvar Nagar of Burmamines police station area, Ravi Upadhyay, resident of Parsudih and Rahul Sahu, resident of Bistupur Shivpuri Colony.
Police have recovered four loaded pistols, seven magazines, 42 live bullets and a stolen bike from the accused.
SSP Kishore Kaushal told that everyone had gathered in the closed quarter. The police had received secret information about this. Based on secret information, a team was formed and a raid was conducted and everyone was arrested. SSP said that cases like murder and firing are also registered against the arrested accused.
SSP Kishore Kaushal told that the arrested Ravi Upadhyay was absconding in the Ashwini murder case that took place in Govindpur. He was having a dispute with Ravi’s cousin brother-in-law Rajan Mishra. Rajan had also got Ravi fired upon in the past. Jitesh is serving life imprisonment in the case of murder of Nazneen Parveen in 2014 in Kadma police station area. He was out on appeal bail only a month ago. Ravi, along with Jitesh and Rahul Sahu, had planned the murder of his cousin Rajan Mishra. Everyone was gathered in closed quarters. The recovered bike was stolen from Burmamines.
SSP said that all the accused are members of Garmanala Kali Puja Committee. The said quarters were being used for living during Kali Puja. Everyone had been coming and going in the quarter for a long time. Meanwhile, everyone planned the murder in the quarter itself. All are associated with Suraj Yadav gang.
The SSP said that it will be recommended to impose CCA on everyone, so that organized crime can be stopped.
