Ranchi: The members of Pahari Cheetah killed the mukhia of Moreng panchayat Yakub Lakra in Basia police station area of Gumla on Saturday.
The culprits, eight in number, had come to the spot on four motorcycles. The superintendent of police Rakesh Bansal said the killing was carried out as a result of a failed demand of the Naxalites to collect extortion money from the mukhia.
