Mukhi Samaj protests demands free electricity

Jamshedpur: Residents of Burmamines Tube Harizan Bastee have demanded free electricity and water. Mukhi Samaj, a representative body of the local residents, said that they should get free electricity and water as they belong to Moolbasis of Jharkhand. The organization protested installations of electricity meters in the households.

Putting up a demonstration to press for the demands Laxman Behra and Shambhu Mukhi said that Jusco should carry out its corporate social responsibility for the schedule castes and schedule tribes.

In a memorandum to the deputy commissioner the Mukhi Samaj said that electricity cables are being laid while a private firm has been given the task to collect bills from the local residents.
