Jamshedpur: A controversy has arisen following a change of name of Hume Pipe Area Puja Committee as Bhuiyandih Area Durga Puja Committee.
Local residents and members of Hume Pipe Area Welfare Committee have alleged that the change of name has been effected with an intention to create controversy.
They have handed over a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum to demand action against the people who have changed the name.
