Jamshedpur, Jan 11: Under the aegis of MSME, Government of India, a “Management Development
Programme”, for ST students of B.Tech final year started today at RVS College of Engineering & Technology, Jamshedpur.
The Director of MSME Development Institute Mahadev Lakra inaugurated the programme today morning in the college auditorium.
Lakra told that modern time demands self employment in our country to fulfill the need of huge employable
mass.
Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector is the backbone of the country. The maximum no. of employment is
generated by this sector.
Right now, there are three crore MSME units are there in India, which have given eight crore jobs to our citizens.
Lakra informed about the different govt. schemes including Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and others that fund such enterprises.
He said that Jharkhand, being an underdeveloped state, has only 3, 42,000 MSME units while Punjab has 11 lakh such
units.
As a result, Punjab is an affluent state while Jharkhand is at 24th place among 29 states. The renowned TATA
group, too,started at a small level and as on the day, it is performing business activities successfully in ninety countries across the globe. Mr. Lakra told that the ultimate aim of the Ministry of MSME is to generate employment.
The Director of the RVS College Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Singh told that the initial phase of struggle in the establishment
of an MSME unit, is the part of life. The Asst, Director of MSME Development Institute, Ranchi told that MSME
is the backbone of large industries.
The above said Mgmt. Development Programmme is on the topic “Marketing Management”, which is a part of MBA programme.
Now, the future entrepreneurs are taught the skill of marketing, as per the improved policy of the Govt. of India.
Giri proposed the vote of thanks while the Head, Training & Placement Department, RVSCET anchored the inaugural
session of the programme.
The Treasurer of the college Shatrughna Singh, Heads of the Departments, faculty members were also present on the occasion.
