MP Vidyut meets Gadkari to expedite pending highway projects

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Varan Mahato met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday and demanded early commencement of work of road construction on National Highway 33 and National Highway 6. He apprised the Union Minister about the delay in the construction work despite completion of survey for the project.

Mahato told Gadkari that the highway is to be constructed from Pardih to Bankura via Patamada, Katin and Bandwan. Gadkari immediately directed his secretary Vaibhav Dange to begin the tender process for the said project. He also ordered survey for the NH 6 project under which highway is to be constructed from Hata to NH 6 via Mosabani, Gudabandha, Koima and Bombay Chowk.

Gadkari told the MP that work had begun on a war footing for the repair of NH33. He said that lack of funds will not be allowed to hamper the progress and timely completion of the said projects.
