MP meets CM, demands schools, roads and irrigation facility for constituency

Ranchi, Oct. 18: The MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato met Chief Minister Raghubar Das in the state Capital on Tuesday and demanded setting up of schools in Patamada and Ghatsila besides demanding construction of roads in different parts of East Singhbhum.

Apart from raising demands for schools and roads, the MP also demanded repair of a water treatment plant in Musabani and construction of a flyover from Dhanchatani to Anna Chowk, Govindpur.

The MP iterated the demand for the inclusion of Maal caste in Scheduled Caste category. He said the people belonging to Maal caste resided in Chakulia and Baharagora in large numbers. Such people badly needed reservation for the improvement of their economic condition, he said.

During the meeting, the BJP leader apprised the CM about the necessity to set up more residential schools for boys and girls in the district. He said the road construction department should be directed to build roads in Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency including the stretch between Kharangajhar to Chandni Chowk via Luabasa, Bada Banki to Asanbani, Bonda Bodam to West Bengal border and NH33 to Jhanti Jharna.

The CM assured the MP to initiate measures to fulfill his demands as soon as possible. He said the various departments will be directed to take prompt action on the demands.

Mahato also met Jharkhand Chief Secretary and demanded preparation of a detailed project report for providing irrigation facility to the farmers of Nimdih, Patamada and Bodam from the Chandil reservoir. He later met the Secretary of the Road Construction Department and asked him to send DPR for the construction of two main roads�one from Kashida to Hurlung and the other from Narsinghgarh to West Bengal border.
