Gamharia: The MP of Jamshedpur Dr Ajay Kumar has written to the Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram and the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India Dr Raghuram Rajan and demanded that Santhali language be also used on currency notes.
He said the language had been included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution by the government, but was still far from getting its due place of honour in government departments.
