Jamshedpur : JVM MP, Dr Ajay Kumar has faxed a letter to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh seeking Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into BJP leaders Kale’s role in the allotment of few corporate projects inked during Munda’s tenure.

Lashing out at the BJP leader Amarpreet Singh Kale as the front of the former chief minister Arjun Munda, in the letter, the Jamshedpur MP has sought CBI investigation specifically into the 2005 land lease renewal agreement with a city based private steel company, allotment of land to a private steel company in Seraikela and AdityapurKandra four-lane road construction project.

“We suspect Kale’s role in clinching the deals for the respective corporate houses during the tenure of Arjun Munda and therefore sought CBI probe into his role,” said Dr Kumar addressing a press conference here on Saturday.

Kale, learnt to be a close aide of Munda, is currently under the scanner of the Income Tax officials who are conducting raids at his house and office across Ranchi Kolkata and Jamshedpur, since Friday.

The MP also said that on December 11, JVM parliamentary delegation that includes party chief Babulal Marandi and Kumar himself, will meet Union Finance Minister P Chidambram and will seek probe of multiple economic investigation agencies into Kale’s property.

“Probe by the Department of Revenue Intelligence, Enforcement Directorate and Chief Vigilance Commissioner will be sought along with the CBI,” said Kumar adding that the ongoing IT raids at Kale’s house and office are limited to tax evasion only.

He alleged there’s a prima facie case of disproportionate asset (DA) and money laundering against the influential BJP leader.

“The society needs to know how come he (Kale) earned property of worth over Rs 150 Crore in a short span of seven to eight years (since 2003),” said Dr Kumar alleging that much of the money belongs to Munda.

He said the probe, if sanctioned, will bring to light the real picture of the former chief minister Munda and his Man Friday, Kale.
