Jamshedpur: The MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato and district BJP president Dinesh Kumar met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar on Wednesday and demanded urgent construction of the Govindpur main road. They said the road construction had not started yet despite an order passed to this effect by the district administration.
The BJP president said Tata Motors had not started the work despite the instructions of Chief Minister Raghubar Das. He said the company should give information about the status of the construction work or else the BJP will be compelled to start agitation. He also raised the issue of defunct street lights from Tata Cummins gate up to Jemco Chowk. He said the private companies should get the street lights replaced.
The DC assured to take necessary steps to get the defunct street bulbs replaced. He said the Govindpur road will be reconstructed soon. He spoke to Tata Motors Plant Head Sampat Kumar and sought updates on the progress of Govindpur road construction work.
The BJP leaders also raised the issue of starting vending zone in Sakchi. They said the vending zone should be inaugurated before Durga Puja.
