Jamshedpur: The MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato and the MLA of Potka Menka Sardar today assured UCIL authorities of taking due measures to ensure that the PSU is not shut down.
The BJP leaders held a meeting with the UCIL chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) Diwakar Acharya in the auditorium at CMD Building to discuss present situation of UCIL and the problems of local villagers.
The MP, speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, said he will be meeting Union Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on his return from foreign tour after 14th September and raise issues related to mining lease renewal in Jharkhand.
Mahato blamed the state government for the delay in renewal of mines lease. He said the government was deliberately delaying a decision on the lease renewal issue.
