Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and the MLA of Potka Menka Sardar laid the foundation stone for two road projects in Lakhansai village under Poradiha panchayat of Potka on Sunday. The road, four kilometer long and stretching from Dabanki Chowk to Dhirol, will be repaired under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
Addressing the gathering, the MP said development could be seen everywhere in Potka and other parts of Jamshedpur constituency. He said the BJP government was expediting development and welfare projects to make sure the state and its people get their benefits without delay.
The MLA said the dilapidated roads were being repaired in the assembly constituency on an urgent basis. Bridges and culverts are being constructed wherever needed, she said.
The legislator further said that Jaher Thans were being fortified through the construction of walls. She said Potka would soon become a role model for other blocks. She said a degree college would soon be opened in Potka.
