Jamshedpur, Dec. 25 : Movement of trains in South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur – Rourkela section will be affected for two days from Thursday in view of traffic-cum-power block for launching of two subways.
The railway block will be done to facilitate commissioning of a new limited-height subway in place of an unmanned level crossing.
A circular issued by the Garden Reach headquarters of South Eastern Railway announced short-termination of 58112 Itwari-Tatanagar Passenger leaving Itwari tomorrow. The train will be short terminated at Rourkela . Therefore, the service of the train between Rourkela and Tatanagar will remain cancelled on December 26.
The 58111 Tatanagar-Itwari Passenger will originate from Rourkela on December 27. Therefore, the service between Tatanagar and Rourkela will remain cancelled on December 27.
The 12871 Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Superfast Express will be rescheduled to leave Howrah at 10.20 am instead of 6.55am on December 27. The 12262 Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Duronto Express will be rescheduled to leave Howrah at 10.55 am instead of 8.20 am on December 27.
Located on the Howrah-Mumbai main route Tatanagar is an important station. Several important trains travel via Tatanagar, including the high-profile Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express. The station sees a daily traffic of 90 mail, express and passenger trains, besides a footfall of more than 60,000 passengers.
