MoUs worth Rs 3 lakh crore likely during Investors� Summit: CS

Ranchi: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma today said that the state government was likely to ink MoUs with various international companies to seal investment proposals worth Rs 3 lakh crore. She said that many companies had shown interest in making investments in Jharkhand and had confirmed that they will be signing MoU with the state government.

Verma was speaking during a review of preparations at the venue of �Momentum Jharkhand�, the upcoming Global Investors� Summit at Khelgaon.

The CS said that it would be the state government�s effort to ensure that maximum numbers of MoUs are signed with the government by various companies. �The government is doing its best to bring more and more investors in Jharkhand. The prospective investors or delegates going to participate in the Summit will be assisted by liaisoning officers on behalf of the state government who will tell them about Jharkhand and investment prospects in the state,� Verma said.

Verma said the preparations for the Summit were almost complete and that she was satisfied with it. She said she had issued instructions to remove the lacunae from the preparations.

�Several teams are working on a war footing to finish preparations for the event. There will be tight security during the programme,� said the CS.

The Special Secretary, Agriculture, cum Special Work Officer, Mines and Geology, Puja Singhal, Diretor, Information and Public Relations Department, Rajeev Lochan Baxi and several other departmental officers were present during the review meeting held by the CS.
