MoU signed for management of 37 it is in state

Ranchi: The state labour Minister Chandrashekhar Dubey today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Nepal House for the upgradation, operation and maintenance and management of 37 Industrial Technology Institute (ITI) in Jharkhand under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.

The MOU was signed by the Orissa Manganese and Minerals Limited and the Adiwasi Welfare Trust, Jamshedpur for the ITIs at Khunti, Chandil, Chakulia (East Singhbhum), Bundu and at Saraikela-Kharsawan.

Dubey said that this venture would supplement ITIs already in existence and improve the utilization of human resources by providing a range of employment services in all the districts of Jharkhand. He said that students of ITI would be trained as an apprentice depending on the specialization of the students.

Dubey said that the students of the ITI colleges would be providing employment in the already established industries in the state as well as in many other projects that were coming up.

He said that said that with the establishment of these ITIs local students would be trained in the state itself and they would not need to migrate to other states. This will foster, promote and develop the students and job seekers with advance opportunities for profitable employment, he added.

Labour Employment and Training Department Special Secretary, Shri. Vishwanath Sah, Chairman of Adiwasi Welfare Trust, Dr. Digambar Rajdani, along with other officials were present on the occasion.
