Jamshedpur: Two motors are soon going to be installed on the sluice gate in Bagbera. The installation will be done by the district small irrigation project department. Tenders would be floated soon for this purpose. The motors would help prevent Bagbera and Jugsalai areas from flood. A sluice gate has been constructed at Kharkai river near Shiv Ghat. Another such gate has been built over the Tejab nullah. During rains, the low-lying areas around the sluice gate get submerged. Hundreds of families are displaced as a result, sources said.
