Jamshedpur, Aug 16: The 77th Independence Day of India was celebrated with immense patriotic zeal and enthusiasm by the students and staff of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) on 15th August. The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by General Secretary, Dr D P Shukla, accompanied by the Principal Ashu Tiwary. The unfurling of the National Flag was followed by the National Anthem sung by the Pre-primary children.
The Nursery children dressed in the vibrant colours of the nation- green, white and saffron, performed on a medley of heart touching patriotic songs followed by the dance performances showcased by the Junior and the High School students. The School choir group showcased their patriotism and pride for the Nation through the song-“Yeh Desh Meri Jaan Hai”.
Secretary, Dr DP Shukla Sir commended the combined efforts of the students and teachers for presenting the wonderful show and said that it is a day of joy, a day of love and respect for our country and to make it a better place to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
