Mothers turn waste into art at Sacred Heart Convent exhibition

Jamshedpur, Sept 15: Sacred Heart Convent School organized an exhibition ‘Best out of Waste’ under the theme “Peace with Creation,” showcasing how simple ideas can spark meaningful change. The special event celebrated the creativity of mothers who transformed discarded materials into innovative and useful works.

The school principal, Sister M. Steffi, praised the participants for their efforts. “Mothers are not only nurturing families but also nurturing the planet. Their creations send out a powerful message that environmental protection begins at home with small steps,” she said.

The event was held in two rounds. The preliminary round took place on 15th September 2025, where mothers presented items crafted from waste materials. The shortlisted entries will be displayed in the final exhibition on 23rd September 2025.

Teachers and students admired the exhibits, calling them both practical and artistic. “It’s amazing to see how waste can be turned into something beautiful and meaningful. It inspires us to think differently about everyday materials,” said one student.

By combining creativity with responsibility, the exhibition not only encouraged eco-friendly practices but also reinforced the idea that sustainable living begins with families and communities.

  1. The best out of waste is just a waste in disguise.
This is just an eye wash. Tell me frankly, what was your procedure of collection of the waste.
    Let me tell.
You have purchased the good things from market, like paper, glue, stone, bids etc and helped to make some craft works.
Just calcute how much real waste materials and how much useful materials have been used in creating all these.

Call it a creative craft show insted,
I will respect and appreciate. But it’s out of waste is an utter lie.
    Sorry ma’am 🙏
