Dhanbad, Oct 24: In a bizarre incident a monkey entered sanctum sanctorum of Baba Baidyanath temple and injured three persons before being chased away.
Senior vice-president of Panda Dharma Rakshani Sabha Chandrashekhar Khabare told media persons that incident occurred on Thursday late afternoon. A red face money entered sanctum sanctorum of temple and bite two Bhandari (store keepers) and one sanitation staff.
In course of escaping , the monkey also injured three persons at east part of Mansarovar creating chaos in the area for sometime.
Failure of security
Vice-president Chandrashekhar Khabare held security system of the temple responsible for the incident. He said heavy police are deployed in the premises for safety but they looked busy in getting VIP and their relatives worshiped . They do not concentrate on security arrangement.
“A few days ago devotees clashed among themselves in queue of worship. Even FIR was lodged which indicates that police personnel deployed on campus are not capable of maintaining system”, said Chandrashekhar Khabare.
Urged CM to intervene
Panda Dharma Rakshani Sabha vice-president has urged chief minister ( who is also chairman of Baba Baidyanath Dham- Basukinath Dham Shrine Board, to take cognizance of Thursday incident so that in near future such type of incident does not take place.
Chandrashekhar Khabare also demanded action against the police personnel deployed at the time of incident in temple so that other security personnel get alerted.
An official of Deoghar district administration said that groups of monkey from nearby Tapobvan and Trikut Pahadi often arrive in the area. But it was first time they bite in sanctum sanctorum.
