�Momentum Jharkhand�: State industry director reviews preparations at Gopal Maidan

Jamshedpur, Aug. 16: State industry director K. Ravikumar who arrived in the city to review the preparation for the biz summit at Gopal Maidan expressed satisfaction with the progress.

�The preparations are in full swing. We have asked the district police to make elaborate traffic plans during the ceremony and also ensure full proof security arrangements in view of the visit of several Union ministers, chief minister and corporate honchos.

The event management firm will ensure that visitors do not face any problem due to foggy conditions at the ground in view of the rainy season.

In fact, all the 30,000 sq ft area of the German hangar pavilion will have wooden platform,� said Ravikumar.

The second phase of �Momentum Jharkhand� will pave way for investment in Kolhan region.

The city is all set to witness the second phase of the execution of the MoUs signed during Global Investors Summit at a function to be held on August 19 at Gopal Maidan.

Secretary Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (Aiada), Hari Kumar Keshri said that a major part of the investment would be in Seraikela-Kharsawan and East Singhbhum districts of Kolhan region.

The event is going to pave way for new investment as two projects will be inaugurated while foundation stone will be laid for 70 projects during the function which would be attended by Union textile and information and broadcasting minister Smriti Irani and Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

Major investment will be in Kolhan region. A total of Rs 2100-crore will be invested during the second phase,� said Keshri.

Several projects which would either be inaugurated or have ground breaking ceremonies on August 19 has projects worth Rs 1745-crores out of Rs 2100-crore located either in the Seraikela-Kharsawan or East Singhbhum district.

According to an estimate about 3,000 people, including senior corporate officials, MLAs and state MPs will attend the function. Mumbai-based Wizcraft Entertainment is arranging the event.

Later, in the evening, the industry director also held a meeting with Aiada officials, East Singhbhum deputy commissioner, Amit Kumar, ADM law and order Subodh Kumar, ADC East Singhbhum Sunil Kumar and DSP traffic Vivekanand Thakur at the district collectorate.
