Jamshedpur, Jan. 19: Congress national spokesperson and former MP from Jamshedpur, Ajoy Kumar on Tuesday dubbed the Narendra Modi-led government in the centre and Raghubar Das-led government in Jharkhand as ‘Thumps-up Government.’
He alleged that both the leaders wake up in the morning every day planning the latest “toofani” announcements, but the announcements only remain verbal claims as nothing is seen on the ground. “Both guru (Modi) and chela (Raghubar) is expert at making prompt announcements, but they are limited only to it and no work is seen on the ground,” he added.
Kumar also attacked the Raghubar Da- led state government for misleading people and acting on the directions of the Prime Minister and the BJP chief Amit Shah. He alleged the state government was being controlled by the senior leaders in New Delhi through remote control.
Addressing a press conference at Tilak Pustakalaya in Bistupur this afternoon, Kumar alleged that the Chief Minister Das has failed on every front and during past one year he has made only announcements. He claimed that the Raghubar-led government in the state had made several announcements at the time of elections, but miserably failed to deliver on all fronts in its one year rule.
He noted that the Chief Minister has so far taken no positive steps in the direction of providing ownership rights to 156 bustee dwellers.
The state government has also failed to make ration cards available to poor families. “I have gathered information that against the requirement of 19,000 ration cards in Potka, but only 8,000 has been issued. The case is similar in Ghatshila where only 7,000 families possess ration cards against the requirement for 24, 000,” Kumar added.
He also expressed an urgent need to increase the seats of the State Assembly from 81 to 150. “We are of the opinion that an increase in the number of Assembly seats will pave way for setting up of legislative council. The Chief Minister should initiate action in the regard,” Kumar said.
“He is acting on the dictates of bosses in New Delhi. Das does whatever is told to him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, while the Modi government is being controlled by RSS in Nagpur,” the Congress national spokesperson said.
Coming down heavily on the NDA government, Kumar added it was anti-poor, anti-Dalit and anti-Adivasi. When questioned about his views on the completion of one year of NDA Government in State, Kumar claimed that the law and order has hit an all time low with broad daylight crimes becoming a regular feature.
He added that the situation at Jharkhand has become a matter of great concern. He also said that the criminals have regained confidence after law and order machinery has gone for a toss.
‘On one hand, Modi talks about ‘Make in India’ but the biggest statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel to be installed in Gujarat is being made in China!” Dr. Kumar mocked.
