Jamshedpur, Nov. 20 : All India Sikh Students Federation, east zone president Satnam Singh Gambhir has welcomed the decision of the Delhi court, in which two persons were convicted for the first time in 34 years in the case related to the massacre.
In 2011, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed on the instructions of the Central Government. Satnam Singh Gambhir said the time has come the Sikhs are given justice. He said that Modi Government will ensure justice.
Sikhs were also killed at Bokaro and the houses of Sikhs were set on fire during the anti-Sikh riots after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. There were countless incidents of robbery, but even after the preliminary records, no conviction was given to the culprits. Satnam Singh Gambhir demanded the Chief Minister that SIT should be constituted and the guilty should be punished.
