Jamshedpur, Sept 24: The Junior Heritage Club of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) visited the coin museum to learn about the eras, minting modes and other facets through coins on display at the museum. The official of the coin museum and a numismatist, SNR Naidu explained, “These coins give you an idea of transformation of the coins from the penny to digital money.”
MNPS teacher Sunita Sharma who accompanied the 26 school students, stated, “This visit to the coin museum was an enriching experience for the students. They learnt how mint markings can help identify then era of coin minting.”
A quiz contest was organized for the students at the coin museum. The winners included Anmol class 5 C ( winner), Kumari Sneha 5 C (1st runner up), Vidhi Bhowmik – 5 C (1st runner up), 3rd Yashasvi Srivastava – 4 C (2nd Runner up)
Soyab Jamal – 5 C (2nd runner up) and Shiv Kumar – 5 C (3rd Runner up).
