MNPS students visit Coin Museum

Jamshedpur, Nov. 1: A group of 25 students of Heritage club of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) got an opportunity to visit the coin museum on Wednesday. Students were excited to see coins of different ages. They were amazed to see how the value and content of coins changed from time to time. There were coins starting from Greeco- Roman era. Special types of coins are-peacock in a Gupta coin of 6th century, fish on a Chola coin of 10th century, punch marked coins of 5th century BC minted in Madhya Pradesh and many more. It was a knowledge gathering and sharing opportunity. They carried notebooks along with them and noted down important information which they will share with the students of senior and junior sections in the morning assembly. It was an informative visit. Students Aastha, Anushka, Umrah, Rakhi said that such small visits should be conducted time to time.
