Jamshedpur: In a new initiative ,the Management of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS), decided to start a week-long programme to spread the valuable knowledge of Bhagvad Gita for the Students of the School . This is also in accordance with the School Management’s objective to promote value based education to it’s Students. Titled “ Decoding the Science of Bhagvad Gita “ , this program is designed to provide insights into the “essence “ of the Bhagvad Gita ,underlying its relevance in the daily lives for the young students .
Explaining the idea behind this programme, Ashu Tiwary, Principal, MNPS explained the Objectives was to inculcate the basic concepts and philosophy of the Bhagvad Gita to the Students and also clear many misconceptions about the Gita.
Further, explaining the Methodology of the program, she mentioned that this Program is scheduled for six (6) days, starting from 25th May,2023 to 31st May with each Session of 1.5 hours duration . The sessions are being conducted Shiva Rao, ex-Head(One IT, Tata Steel) and a Degree holder in Bhagvad Gita from ISKCON, Ayoydhya.
Elaborating on the purpose of taking up this initiative, Shiva Rao opined that ”in this era of Technological advancements, many Students are besotted with Anxiety, doubts and depression due to various socio-economic factors The modern day gadgets , though useful, often become a source of distraction and hinderance to achieving their goals. Hence, it is very relevant or the Youth to turn to the philosophy in the Bhagvad Gita , read, understand and assimilate it in their daily lives “
The programme is in progress with , talks, presentation through audio-visual aids, accompanied with interactions by way of Q&A, activities/exercises .
