Jamshedpur : At the 7th International Mathematics Olympiad organized by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), the students of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) Primary and High School have shown tremendous performance as compared to the year 2011-12 & 2012-13.
A total of 258 students appeared in the event. Ten gold medals and 12 silver medals were bagged by the students along with nine bronze medals.
The school authorities said the school has continuously been encouraging students to participate in the Olympiad in view of most students fearing Mathematics. It may be noted that the school had declared the year �2013� as the year of literacy.
Various activities were organized to promote performance in the subjects English and Mathematics. Children�s Mathematical skills were judged on the parameters as logical reasoning, Mathematical reasoning, everyday mathematics and achievers section.
