Jamshedpur: Students and faculty at Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) today fondly remembered the great stalwart and visionary leader, Late Pandit Motilal Nehru under whose ideology the school moves on.
Various in house activities and competitions marked the day, the objective of which was to promote an understanding of the ideologies believed and practiced by the great barrister.
Earlier in the day, the portrait of the patriarch of the Indian National Congress was garlanded by the students and faculty of the school.
Late Pandit Motilal Nehru (6 May 1861 � 6 February 1931) was an Indian lawyer, an activist of the Indian Independence Movement and an important leader of the Indian National Congress, who also served as the Congress President twice, 1919�1920 and 1928�1929. He was the founder patriarch of the Nehru-Gandhi family and the father of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.
The school is named Motilal Nehru Public School as Pandit Motilal strongly believed that the upliftment of India was possible through Science and Western education. This basic philosophy and principles of Pandit Motilal form the guidelines of our institution.
