Jamshedpur, March 11: Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) on Friday organised an Inter School Event “Innovate for Change”. The host team from MNPS won the contest. The team was led by Arnav Sinha, Tushar, Vaibhavi Srivastava and Ujjwala Sahu.
Team from Gulmohar High School led by Shreyan Sinha, Adhyyan Kumar and Roshan Sharma stood second while Ishita Pandey and Tanisha Sharma from Tarapore School stood third.
The United Nations has declared 17 Sustainable Development Goals designed to be a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.
In view of this, the Atal Tinkering Lab of Motilal Nehru Public School under STEM organised an inter school event where the students showcased their innovative skills to solve global and local problems, focused on sustainability, without hampering our environment. Three SDG Goals Clean water and Sanitization, Affordable and Clean Energy and Climate Change and its impact are on focus.
The chief guest R P Tyagi, trustee and advisor UP Sangh handed over prizes to the winners. Scientists from NML Dr Arpita and Roshan Kumar along with Subendi Chakrabarty from Tata Steel were the judges.
Ashu Tiwary, principal, Motilal Nehru Public School proposed the vote of thanks.
