Jamshedpur: MLA of Jamshedpur East, Purnima Sahu, held a meeting with Tata Steel UISL General Manager R.K. Singh on Saturday to press for a quick resolution to public grievances in the city. During the meeting at her residential office in Agrico, Sahu spoke at length on the infrastructure problems in the Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency, including Burmamines, and demanded that these concerns be addressed immediately.
During the meeting, MLA Purnima Sahu stated that the poor condition of roads, increasing dust pollution, inadequate streetlights, and haphazard parking are causing great inconvenience to residents in the Burmamines area. She demanded that roads be regularly cleaned with road sweeping machines and that water be sprinkled regularly to control dust pollution. She also stressed the need for adequate streetlights on all major roads and residential areas, including the route from Burmamines to the station. She also called for the deployment of security guards equipped with the necessary resources at the company’s parking lots.
The MLA also demanded that broken roads and weak infrastructure should be repaired quickly. She stated that the demolition and dismantling of Tata Steel quarters have blocked access to the bustees, which should be reopened immediately. Sahu also objected to the delays in providing electricity and water connections to various bustees by Tata Steel UISL and demanded that these be resolved immediately.
After the discussion, Singh assured that he would immediately hold talks with the concerned officials and ensure that necessary action on all these issues is initiated at the earliest.
