Jamshedpur: The second day of the Tata Motors Workers Union Volleyball Tournament saw thrilling matches as teams battled for semi-final spots. Harrier and Nexon currently top the standings, each winning three matches.
Saturday’s action began with Tigor defeating Signa in the opening match. Nexon followed with a win over Prima in the second match. In the third match, Tigor secured another victory against Safari. Nexon then defeated Tiago in the fourth match.
The highlight of the day was the fifth match between Signa and Harrier. In a closely contested game, Harrier emerged victorious, led by their captain Chandu’s outstanding performance. The final match saw Prima defeating Punch to conclude the day’s fixtures.
After the second day, the points table stands with Harrier and Nexon at three points each, while Tiago and Tigor have two points apiece.
The semi-finals are scheduled for Monday, December 15, at the Telco Colony volleyball ground. The first semi-final will feature Harrier against Tiago, and the second will see Tigor face Nexon in what promises to be exciting contests.
