Potka: The MLA of Potka Menka Sardar paid a surprise inspection visit to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Potka on Thursday.
She reached the school around noon and interacted with the students of class IX and X. She spoke to the students on various issues nad later held a meeting with the warden Lalita Kumari. She sought information about the progress of the students and the performance of teachers.
She directed the warden and other staff to ensure cleanliness on the school premises. Thereafter, the MLA went to the CHC and sought updates from the medical officer in-charge Dr M Dhavoria on the healthcare facilities being made available to the patients.
She advised the CHC officials and staff to follow the official dress code and inspect the entire ward on the arrival of doctors.
She asked them to inspect oxygen cylinders and necessary equipments to make sure they are working or not. She also asked them to pay attention on cleanliness. She said the doctors and other health staff should behave politely with the patients and their relatives.
The CHC medical officer in-charge apprised the legislator about the shortage of doctors. The MLA assured to talke to the government in this regard
