Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Menka Sardar gave a cheque of Rs 50,000 to one Sadhna Barik, resident of Samarsai village under Juri panchayat of Potka, on Tuesday. Barik got the financial assistance for the treatment of a serious backbone disease. Doctors have advised her to undergo surgery. Due to poverty, Sadhna was unable to undergo full treatment. She had written to Chief Minister Raghubar Das for financial assistance. The cheque was given to her under the CM�s special fund meant for patients suffering from critical ailments.
Those present on the occasion included Manoj Ram, Ashutosh Das, Prayag Pramanik, Anand Pramanik, Suraj Pramanik, Hari Pramanik and Sanat Kumar.
