Jamshedpur: Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi has promised swift action to rename the Jugsalai Municipal Council Park after the late social worker Jogi Mishra and install his statue.
He gave this assurance after a delegation, led by Jugsalai Ratepayers’ Association President Sardar Shailendra Singh, submitted a memorandum to civic authorities requesting the change of name to “Late Jogi Mishra Municipal Council Park.”
The memorandum highlighted that Mishra transformed a barren, rocky wasteland into a lush green space through voluntary labour and inspired tree plantation. Kalindi vowed to respect local sentiments, ensuring Mishra’s environmental legacy inspires future generations.
