Jamshedpur, Feb 25: Unidentified mischief-mongers set 130 sacks of cement on fire in Hakegora under Sundernagar police station area late Friday night. The cement was destroyed in the incident. It was kept for use in canal construction, sources said.
Supervisor Samrendra Nath Patnaik informed police that the cement sacks were found in flames in the late hours. A bomb was also thrown at the construction site, he said.
The supervisor said earlier unidentified people had set an excavator on fire at the construction site. A complaint was made to Sundernagar police. But no action was taken in the case by police, he said.
After the incident, the employees of the construction agency are under fear, sources said.
