Jamshedpur, Aug 2: Social organization, MIRANKI of Jamshedpur with its slogan of �Plant trees, save community� went a step further by organizing an eye checkup camp at Sidho-Kanhu Memorial High School in Kedon village under Hitku Panchayat , Jadugoda. The camp commenced with plantation of saplings in the school premises. Guests on the occasion were presented saplings.
More than 50 persons from the poor and underprivileged segments had their eyes checked and free medicines were provided to them. A few of the patients were identified for cataract surgery. MIRANKI will bear the conveyance expenses of the patients identified for surgery.
Legislator Menka Sardar and Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh were full of appreciation for MIRANKI lauding the good work they were doing. Singh said, �MIRANKI Trust is living up to its social commitments by reaching out eye care to remote villages.�
Other guests who spoke on the occasion included Santosh, Sanjiv Kumar, Arun Bankrewal, Rita Patro, Susmit Bose, Sandip Sil, Priya Rani, Arvind Singh and Sujit Gupta. The program was anchored by Rita Patro.
