Minor raped and killed by 40-year-old near Jamshedpur, accused arrested

Jamshedpur, May 12: A minor girl was raped and then killed in the night at Jagannathpur village under Ghatshila police station area. 

According to reports, a 10 year old child of Jagannathpur village was taken by 40-yearold of the same village to an anganbari kendra and raped and when villagers went for searching listening to the scream of the girl they saw Shiv Charan Soren coming out from the lane and was caught by the villagers and saw the body of the minor girl. The villagers informed the Ghatshila thana after which police reached the spot and took the body for post mortem and arrested the inebriated Shiv Charan Soren who has confessed of his crime. 

According to family members of the victim the girl had gone to purchase some thing from a nearby shop and Shiv Charan Soren forcibly took the girl child to the anganbari kendra and raped.  POlicce have recovered the towel and stone smeared with the girl’s blood from the spot.
