Minor girl abducted from Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 6: A case of kidnapping a minor girl from Golmuri police station area with the intention of marriage has been lodged. According to the FIR lodged in the Golmuri police station, the incident had occurred on May 29 at 10:30 am. According to the complaint filed in the Golmuri police station, the accused, Ankit Verma, a resident of Bhalubasa A block in Sitaramdera police station area, had come to the minor girl’s house at the time of the incident. Family members were also at home. After the sudden disappearance of the minor girl, the family members were upset.

After asking neighbors the girl’s family members searched the addresses of relatives for clue to the sudden disappearance of the minor girl. When no trace of the girl could be found, the family members finally reported the matter to the Golmuri police station after a lapse of nine days. They also provided the police with the mobile phone numbers of the minor girl and the accused, Ankit Verma. The Golmuri police have started an investigation to trace the girl and the accused.

Minor girl molested in Rahargora

A case of molesting a minor girl of Rahargora under Parsudih police station area has been registered in the police station. The incident happened on Sunday, June 5 at 3 pm.

The minor girl was returning home from Rahargora market at the time of the incident. Vicky Sharma, a resident of Rahargora Sharma Toli, allegedly molested her. When the minor girl raised an alarm, the accused fled the spot. As soon as the report of alleged molestation was reported to the police, they started investigating the matter. Parsudih police raided the house of the accused but had to return empty handed. The Parsudih police said that both, the accused Vicky Sharma and the minor girl already knew each other.

Jamua villager bitten by snake

45 year old Surendra Munda of Jamua village in Chakulia Block was bitten by a venomous snake on his right leg last night. According to the information, Surendra Munda was bitten while he was sleeping on the floor of his house. His relatives took him to the Community Health Centre in Chakulia for treatment. Doctors provided preliminary treatment before referring Surendra Munda to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur for better treatment. Medical Officer In-charge of the Community Health Centre, Dr Ranjit Kumar Murmu said that there was sufficient stock of Anti Snake Venom at MGM Hospital.

It may be mentioned that during the monsoon season incidences of snake bites increase in Chakulia rural areas. Most victims of snakebites sleep on the floor of their houses. Even most people working in their farms and those who go to forests to collect wood and other available requirements were victims of snakebites during monsoons.
