Jamshedpur: State Food Minister Saryu Rai inaugurated the new building of Vishwakarma Technical Institute (VTI) at Sakchi on Sunday. He praised the efforts being put in by Ramgarhiya Sabha to upgrade the institute into a skill development centre.
The president of the outfit Jasbir Singh Sandhu and general secretary Jasbir Singh Bhamra said the institute had long been imparting skill training to youths. �The institute earlier gave training in trades of draughtsmanship, radio repairing and refrigeration. Later the institute was linked to ITI-NCVT. At present, there are eight units. The students training from here are getting placement,� they said.
Sandhu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reviving traditional trades by launching skill development campaign. He said the campaign would greatly improve the fate of youths and the country.
