Seraikela: A mining task force was set up in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Thursday.
The deputy commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan K Srinivasan, superintendent of police Indrajeet Mahatha, SDPO of Seraikela Deepak Kumar, deputy collector Sandeep Kumar Dalaiburu, district mining officer and several other officials are members of the task force.
The purpose of setting up the task force is to put reins on illegal mining activities across the district, said the DC.
