Mini Marathon pays tribute to 1971 war martyrs

Jamshedpur, Dec. 18: Krida Bharti Singhbhum and Poorva Sinik Seva Parishad Jamshedpur jointly organised a Mini Marathon on Sunday to pay tributes to the martyrs of 1971 war.

The marathon kicked off from Sonari Army camp which traversed through circuit house area to Tata main Hospital and back to Army camp ground.

Students, youths, women and former soldiers participated in large numbers. At the event international boxer Birju Shah, archer D Saiswari Rao, Kabaddi player Chandrasekhar and Jagdish and others were present.

Guest for the mini marathon were Major Karan Daya, Lieutenant Nandkishore Jangid and Colonel KV Nayar.

Other present included Rajiv, province minister Krida Bharti, treasurer Pradeep Jain, vice-president Praveen Gutgutiya, Poorva Sinik Seva Parishad’s Brij Kishore, Sushil SIngh, Zila Parishad Rajkumar Singh, BJP leader Binod Singh, social worker Shivshankar Singh, colonel C Nath and others were present.
