Jamshedpur, July 24: The Milanee organized the club’s 77th annual general meeting and election at club premises on Sunday. �
The general body meeting began at 10 a.m. and continued till 12.30 p.m. The meeting was chaired by the club president Sekhar Dey and attended by 357 members, who also exercised their franchise in electing a new committee.
A. Srinivas Rao functioned as the returning officer for the election. Two of the total votes were disqualified.
At the 77th general body meeting, the secretary�s report was presented in Bengali for the first time in Milanee’s history.
Candidate �Krishnendu Chatterjee (Munmun) received 312 votes, �Dipankar Dutta (Raju) got 303 votes, Debabrata Chatterjee (Debu Da) 295, �Arijit Sarkar 294, �Gautam Kumar Sen (Guru) 292, �Subrata Ghosh (Ghoshda) (Kajol) 291, �Gautam Achaerjee 291, �Bhaskar Kumar Mitra (Chottu Da) 286, �Animesh �Kumar Sarkar 286, �Gautam Kumar Guha 284, Pallab Roy 284, Bimal Roy 280, Mihir Kumar Bhattacharjee 277, Chandan Bagchi 272, Pulak Kumar Sengupta 271, Swapan Dutta 268, Apratim Biswas 267 and Ranadhir Roychoudhuri got 226 votes.
